A safe place to come
Our Drop-in Centre is open to children from the community — somewhere to come after school, to be known by name, to play, to eat, and simply to be a child in a safe environment.
For many of the children we serve, Rapha is the safest, most consistent place in their week. These programs are built around that.
Our Drop-in Centre is open to children from the community — somewhere to come after school, to be known by name, to play, to eat, and simply to be a child in a safe environment.
Every Saturday, children in Grades 1–3 spend the morning and early afternoon at Rapha. Their day begins with a hearty breakfast and a time of devotion, before playtime, crafts, snacks and milk, learning activities and exercise — ending with another nourishing meal together. The regularity of coming every Saturday brings stability, and gives them something positive to look forward to throughout the week.
Around 20–25 young people gather each Saturday for a one-year journey through Scripture, using chronological Bible storytelling — seeing how the different parts of the Bible fit together as one connected story. Their Saturdays are also a time of fellowship and practical care: breakfast, learning and conversation, then lunch together.
Structured after-school support and activities. We place real weight on giving children a voice — they are asked for honest feedback on the programs they take part in, and their answers shape what we do next. When children are given a voice, they learn that their thoughts matter.
Sports and recreation are part of the care, not a distraction from it. Volleyball, rollerblading, football training and outings give young people space to be active, to build friendships, and simply to enjoy being young.
Our family programs work with parents and siblings, not just the child. Family days, counselling and practical support strengthen the home — because a child thrives best within a supported family.
Our Hermanatics program cares for expectant mothers in the community. Each month we provide milk, prenatal vitamins, rice, vegetables and fruit — alongside prenatal check-ups and the laboratory tests they need.
We believe caring for people means caring for the whole person. We want these mothers to know that they are valued, supported and not alone as they prepare to welcome their little ones into the world.
"By providing nutritious food, prenatal care and check-ups, we can help give both mother and baby a healthier start — and make a difference even before a child takes their first breath."
Alongside our regular programs, we bring essential services directly to the community.
Regular nutritious meals are central to everything we do. Many of the children we serve rely on the food they receive at Rapha.
Through partnership with medical organisations, we run clinic days for the children in our care — height and weight checks, blood pressure, doctor consultations, dental assessments and medication, with follow-up where it is needed.
Clothing distribution, household support and seasonal help for families in Sampalocan and the surrounding communities — meeting needs as they arise.
Holistic care means attending to the inner life of a child, not only their physical needs.
One of our goals is to help children become familiar with — and able to recognise — their own emotions. Learning to name what you feel is the first step towards handling it well, and it matters just as much as food or medicine.
Devotions, discipleship and counselling are woven through our week. We want children to know that they are loved by God — and to grow into the person they were made to be.
Every program on this page depends on the generosity of people like you.
